About the Global Family Reunion:

What: an event like no other. A Family Reunion meets a World’s Fair meets a music festival meets a TED conference. There will be talks by celebrities, scientists and comedians! Music! Food! Genealogy classes! Exhibits! Contests! Trivia! Potato sack races! Games for all ages!

When: June 6, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The New York Hall of Science, on the grounds of the World’s Fair.

Who’s Invited: You! All seven billion members of the human family. Those who are connected to the Global Tree before or during the event will get a bracelet and be part of the biggest family photo in history.

Activities: In addition to our speakers, we have over 400 family-related activities, including scavenger hunts, the ultimate family trivia quiz, games, sports, storytelling classes and genealogy classes.

The Cause: Alzheimer’s. All proceeds go directly to charity – namely the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund and the Alzheimer’s Association NYC.

Genealogy partners: The top companies in genealogy are participating, including MyHeritage, FamilySearch, FindMyPast, 23andMe, Family Tree DNA and more. Meet their staff and get tips on how to discover your past.

Notable Relatives: Among the hundreds of remarkable cousins already signed up to participate are Henry Louis Gates, Dr. Oz, Josh Taylor, Morgan Spurlock, Marilu Henner, magician David Blaine and actor Daniel Radcliffe (via video).

Oh, and don’t forget: Sister Sledge will be there live singing the ultimate genealogy anthem, “We Are Family.”
