Locations

The main reunion will be held in New York on the grounds of the legendary 1964 World’s Fair.

There will also be dozens of simultaneous satellite parties all over the world, from Salt Lake City to Bulgaria, from Texas to New Zealand. If you are interested in being involved in a branch party, please read our Branch Party FAQ and complete the Branch Party Interest Form.

THE MAIN EVENT

The New York event will take place at the New York Hall of Science, which is one of the top science-themed museums in the world.  The GFR will take place inside the museum (which holds 5,000 people) and on the sprawling 11-acre fields outside (which can hold 10,000 additional cousins). The New York Hall of Science is a 20-minute subway ride from Grand Central Station and offers convenient parking. Among the 450 hands-on, interactive exhibits that will be open to Global Family Reunion attendees:

  • A mini-golf course with an interplanetary theme.
  • A Science playground that includes slides, climbing nets, fog machines and a giant lever.
  • An amphitheater that will host talks, films and presentations related to ancestry and family.
  • A Sports Challenge exhibit, including a pitching cage where a radar gun will measure the speed of your throws, and a surfing simulator.
  • An arm-wrestling machine.
  • A Design Lab where you can create movies, build structures and 3-D print objects.
  • Rocket Park, where you can see Gemini Titan II, Mercury Capsule and more.
  • And hundreds of other attractions. Take it from a cousin: You will not be bored.
