Hi Cousins!
October is Family History Month so for fun we’re giving a challenge every day of the month relating to ways you can celebrate your family, your lineage and your heritage!
Ready for Day 1? Here it is: Join a collaborative genealogy site to start sharing your research with others.
Not sure where to join? There are several great collaborative sites to try out and see what works best for you. Here are a few:
I have my family tree information on all four of those sites. Are you keeping score? đ
All four? Well, bonus points for you then! đ
Work in progress all of above sites. đ
Nice! Bonus points for you đ
I’ve also got family trees on all four sites, and today I was in communication with newly connected family members on two of them. Hurray for collaborative genealogy!
Nice! That’s so awesome. I’ve met some great new family members though collaborative genealogy!
I have worked on some families at FamilySearch.org
Awesome! FamilySearch is great.
I’ve also got trees on all four sites.
Extra bonus points for you too!
Wow! I make heavy use of FamilySearch.org, but my tree is only on Wikitree.
I use most of those sites for research but I really only build my tree in 2 of them. I couldn’t imagine trying to keep 4 up to date!
I have mine on one site, data redundancy & duplication is the enemy of good information!
That’s why I’m working to get all my info on one site that is available for anyone to access! So people after I’m gone will be able to see their family history.
